This is the comparison of parental child care expenses in BC between any number of hours per week in main child care   Child care   costs in British Columbia have been above national average across Canada and become not affordable for parents.   This has been backed up by the chart above showing that the average cost for parents for any number of hours per week for main child care arrangement has reached $7,240 annually, while the child care cost for 30 hours or more per week for main child care arrangement reached $9,618 per year.         Child care has been a hot issue for many decades because of the limited space in daycare and the increasing price for child care service. This has caused inconvenience and pain to parents in BC because they find it difficult to find a spot for their children while they need to work.
